Reusable packaging profitable for EroskiSince 1998, the Spanish supermarket chain Eroski has worked with logistic service provider Euro Pool System. The partnership began with the packaging of meat in reusable crates. Now Eroski also uses the green packaging for bakery products, vegetables, fruit and fish.

The European market leader registered a record number of more than 600 million rotations, an ample 7% increase with regard to 2008. 5.4 million rotations to contribute to Haiti earthquake relief effortsDuring the Fruit Logistica fair that will take place from 3rd to 5th February in Berlin, Euro Pool System will host a donation campaign for Haiti.
For each rotation registered during the Fruit Logistica fair, the logistic service provider will donate 0.25 Eurocent to the stricken area. With three days of fair reaching an average 1.8 million rotations a day, the donation will hopefully amount to € 13,500. -.

Euro Pool System has experienced growth in all European regionsIn 2008, Euro Pool System’s turnover increased by 29% to reach 190 million
Euros and the number of trips amounted to 556 million, 24% more than in 2007.
The increase was mainly due to the rise in market shares in Germany and to
further standardisation by existing customers. Chief Executive Peter Willems

Euro Pool System pleased with 2007 resultsIn 2007, the number of rotations realised by Euro Pool System increased by 11%, reaching almost 460 million. The turnover went up by 9%, climbing well above 145 million Euros. The Court condemned the hirer - who ‘had forgotten’ to return the crates to the Euro Pool System depot after using them – to pay a 25,000 Euro fine.
