Flow & Depot Planner

Purpose of the job

Execute an optimal transport planning with the purpose to determine and optimize the flows and ensure the availability of stock for the customers at the lowest costs.

Key accountabilities

1. Transport execution
Draw up the transport planning and supervise the transport execution to ensure an effective and efficient transportation.

Core activities:

Daily consultation of the operational reporting and reporting to the management.
Draw up and follow up the planning on short/long term and involve the transport organizers.
Create broad knowledge concerning operational activities.

2. Stock management
Manage stock supply and demand and optimize the flows with the purpose to ensure that the client can load their ordered crates.

Core activities:
Control and manage the stocks.
Control the capacity of the depots and organize regroupings in coordination with group planning for long distance transport.
Confirm with the depots and CO-logistics.

3. Administration
Execute administrative tasks that are necessary for an effective and efficient transport organization.

Core activities:

Create the transporter as relation in our logistic system with all necessary information.
Verify if the transporter has performed the agreed transports and report this to the F&DP manager.
Execute administrative tasks linked to transport and follow them up.
Ensure proper pallet management.

Knowledge / skills

  • Secondary education with some experience or higher vocational education
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and the language in which country the function resides
  • Expertise SAP will be good
  • Knowledge of market chartering in France
