How Reverse Service Centres work

Completely outsourcing your return logistics might seem very complicated. Once Euro Pool System has implements this complex task, the process is surprisingly simple and straightforward.

1. Using and collection

Supermarkets and retailers use packaging materials in their daily operations, whether they’re reusable trays, glass bottles or one-way packaging like plastic or cardboard. When empty or no longer needed, Euro Pool System or another carrier collects them from the shops.

2. Transport and cleaning

The collected packaging materials are transported to Euro Pool System’s Reverse Service Centre, where they undergo sorting, cleaning, and inspection processes. All trays are washed to make them ready for another rotation, and if they are at the end of their lifecycle, they are used as source material for new trays.

3. Responsible recycling

Damaged or worn-out items are responsibly recycled or disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner. For non-reusable packaging materials, Euro Pool System provides comprehensive recycling solutions, ensuring proper disposal and minimising waste.
